Uniqlo coming to Philadelphia, maybe.

Curbed.com writes that the huge Japanese clothing design and retail chain Uniqlo will open in Philadelphia, joining locations in New York City and San Francisco and becoming the first in Pennsylvania. Uniqlo plans to eventually have 200 U.S. stores by 2020.

While the store's expansion plans are no secret, and its success both here and in Asia is well-documented, tracing this story across published wishful thinking is kind of amusing. Curbed cites and copies its affiliate Racked which in turn cites a Women's Wear Daily article behind a pay-wall. The WWD article says Uniqlo is looking to expand in larger US cities up and down both coasts, though writes of Philadelphia only: "From the New York metropolitan area, the retailer will move on to Boston and Philadelphia". Racked counters with:
Uniqlo reps aren't ready to comment: "While I can confirm that UNIQLO USA is looking for potential new locations, including in and around major cities, we have not made any official announcement regarding any new location," said a Uniqlo rep in response to a Racked request for more intel on the situation.
