Signage has recently gone up for Fresh Garden Kitchen, a new Chinese restaurant coming soon to Squirrel Hill. It will be located at at 2209 Murray Ave, the home of the popular Ka Mei from 2006 to 2020. Since Ka Mei's closure, a number of restaurants have occupied the spot, including Teppan BBQ in 2020, a joint Teppan BBQ - Mr. Egg's Kitchen, I Bowl in 2024, and K L Asian Cuisine briefly in 2025.
