At least three more Panda Express restaurants are planned for the Pittsburgh area, with two in the early stages of construction.
The Fox Chapel and Robinson Township locations do not exist yet, but are already hiring: a store is planned near Freeport and Fox Chapel roads, and another is under construction in a lot next to Longhorn Steakhouse at Robinson Town Centre (map). Last month, a real estate firm from New York, Empire State Realty Trust, formally requested permission to build a restaurant and drive-thru in a parcel outside of the former Good Cents store at Ross Town Center on McKnight Road in the North Hills.
The Chinese fast-casual chain opened in the Pittsburgh area last August and currently operates stores in Cranberry, Monroeville, and West Mifflin.
