"Artist Lecture with Atsushi Futatsuya," August 13 with Contemporary Craft.

Contemporary Craft will present an "Artist Lecture with Atsushi Futatsuya," both in-person and virtual on August 13.
Learn more about Atsushi's journey with Sashiko and its cultural importance.

Born into a Sashiko family in Japan's Gifu prefecture, Atsushi Futatsuya grew up surrounded by Sashiko artisans. He currently resides in central Pennsylvania, where he runs his company Upcycle Stitches LLC. Futatsuya hosts workshops, sells supplies and materials, and shares the Sashiko techniques and skills he has learned throughout his life. His mission is to share what Sashiko is with the world. Join us for this lecture to learn more about Atsushi and his journey with Sashiko.
The event runs from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Contemporary Craft in Lawrenceville (map), or virtually via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public, though registration is required and a small donation requested.
