Hotshot Busan detective Hae-jun’s latest case finds him staring deep into the eyes of a dead hiker and then up at the vertiginous cliff from which he fell. This is the riddle he must unravel when he interrogates the man’s Chinese wife, Seo-rae, a caretaker who doesn’t seem particularly heartbroken by the tragedy. The 2021 Taiwanese film Moneyboys (金錢男孩MONEYBOYS) will play in Pittsburgh on October 8 as part of the 2022 Reel Q Pittsburgh LGBT Film Festival.

Fei works illegally as a hustler in order to support his family, yet when he realizes they are willing to accept his money but not his way of life, there is a major breakdown in their relations. Through his relationship to the headstrong Long, Fei seems able to find a new lease on life, but then he encounters Xiaolai, the love of his youth, who confronts him with the guilt of his repressed past.

The 2022 Japanese animated movie One Piece Film: Red will play in Pittsburgh November 3 through 10.

One of the most iconic anime and manga series of all time is about to get even bigger with the upcoming arrival of the big screen adventure, One Piece Film: Red. One Piece Film: Red centers around Uta, the most beloved singer in the world who is renowned for concealing her own identity. Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert.

It plays locally at the Cinemark theaters in Monaca and Monroeville, and tickets are available online. Please note, some shows are dubbed in English while others are in Japanese with English subtitles.

Many More Asian Market to move to new location closer to Strip District.

Many More Asian Market, currently located at 3050 Smallman St. near the border of Lawrenceville and the Strip District (map), will soon move to a location a few blocks southwest. It will be located at 2767 Liberty Ave (map). There is no timetable for the move, but information about the project is available from the City of Pittsburgh Department of City Planning. Many More Asian Market opened in October 2013.

芋见BAO / Meet Bao opening Craig St. location soon.

The second location for Oakland restaurant 芋见BAO, formally known as Meet Bao is set to open soon a few blocks away on Craig St. Signage is up for its soft opening, and the restaurant was cleared to open recently by the Allegheny County Health Department. It will be located at 400 S. Craig St. (map) which was home to Yumwok / Lulu's Noodles for several decades before closing in June.
