Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team is hosting a dragon boat festival on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 8:30am-3:30 pm at North Park Lake Boathouse. REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Now in its fifth year, this vibrant event at North Park Lake brings together the exciting sport of dragon boat racing, entertainment, food, and fun family activities!
At this year’s festival, community, youth, competitive, para-paddlers, all cancer survivors, and breast cancer survivor teams will compete in spirited races at beautiful North Park. Anyone can learn how to paddle a dragon boat. Interested individuals can form a team by gathering 20-24 of their friends, family and co-workers. Every team will get a one-hour lesson/practice the week before the race and all equipment will be supplied. What will I be doing?
The Sales Administrative Assistant provides clerical and minor technical support for our United States sales teams. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using Microsoft Excel and office equipment. Although, it is desirable to be bilingual in Mandarin and English, it is not required. This position is 100% on site, will not require travel.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Communicating with Headquarters located in Taipei for order processing and shipment arrangements.
· Issuing purchase orders, invoices, and sales related documents.
· Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports for sales, accountability, and general information from the company’s CRM.
· Providing customer service to external and internal customers.
· Aiding in the recruitment of sales positions.
· Communicating with and advising the sales team as directed by management.
· Answering phone calls, emails, and sorting the post.
· Handling customers’ enquiries and providing them with excellent customer service.
· Maintaining files and records.
· Managing stock inventory.
· Carrying out requests from management as needed.
Responsible for the general accounting and cost accounting of the Finance Department. Ensure timely and accurate generation of financial information. Develop and maintain an adequate internal control structure. Monthly interaction with China, Hong Kong, South East Asia and other regions, so fluency in Mandarin is required for this role.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Interface with global subsidiaries, mainly China, Hong Kong, South East Asia for intercompany balance reconciliations and transaction tracking
- Create journal entries in the accounting system and assist in global consolidation for timely month-end close
- Perform various general ledger account reconciliations
- Participate in the accounts payable function as needed and supports our automated AP software
- Participate in credit and collection process
- Participate in the managing our debit memo / credit memo process with customers
- Participate in inventory management
- Coordinate annual audit with outside audit firm
- Assist in budget and forecast process, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual or forecast costs
- Assist in financial analysis

In A Letter to A’ma, Taiwanese art teacher/filmmaker Hui-Ling returns to her childhood home to mourn the passing of her grandmother. As she pieces together the fragmented memories of her youth, she finds herself coming face-to-face with the problematic issue of her country’s fractured history. Through a student art project guided by this teacher that has lasted for over a decade, a representational portrait of the island’s collective memory begins to emerge, initiating a process in which Taiwan, an island-nation forgotten by the world and in the midst of forgetting itself after centuries of colonization and decades of dictatorship, can now remember its past and re-envision its postcolonial identity through art.
